Actual airflow depends on the system static pressure and fan performance curve. Lp is the sound pressure level specified by the manufacturer.
FCP ATEX DUST centrifugal roof fans with horizontal discharge are installed on building roofs above ventilation shafts. They can be used in direct extraction and ducted industrial ventilation systems.
Appropriate roof waterproofing and an airtight connection between the fan base or silencer and the supporting structure must be ensured. Sealing must be continuous, uniform and free of openings.
Installation diagrams and accessory combinations are provided in the manufacturer's FCP ATEX DUST catalogue. Accessories are not included in the Type Examination Certificate and must be assessed separately for the intended installation.
Electrical connections and motor protection must comply with the selected model's technical data and manufacturer documentation. Three-phase versions can be speed-controlled using an inverter. Motors are equipped with PTC thermistors.
Before installation and commissioning, verify that the ATEX markings of the fan and motor are suitable for the classified combustible dust atmosphere. The complete fan marking II 2D Ex h IIIB T135°C Db must not be confused with the motor's separate IIIC classification.
