Lp – sound pressure level specified by the manufacturer.

FCP ATEX GAS – installation instructions

FCP ATEX GAS centrifugal roof fans are designed for installation on building roofs above ventilation shafts. They can be used for direct air extraction or ducted industrial ventilation systems.

Mounting base and waterproofing

Suitable waterproofing systems must be used during installation to prevent water ingress into the roof structure.

Particular attention must be paid to the support of the fan base or sound attenuator on the structure. The installer must ensure that sealing is continuous, uniform and free of gaps.

Installation accessories

According to the manufacturer's catalogue, FCP ATEX GAS fans can be connected using square or circular section accessories.

  • CB – masonry mounting base
  • CCr and CCrz – protective grilles
  • PBZ – sound-attenuating mounting base
  • GRZ – square sound attenuators
  • CCsa and CCsb – cylindrical sound attenuators
  • CCbo – inlet bellmouth
  • CCf – flat counterflange
  • CCfc – counterflange with spigot
  • RAZ – transition plate
  • CCda – backdraft damper
  • CCga – flexible anti-vibration connector

The manufacturer's catalogue provides five installation examples with different accessory combinations. The catalogue states that accessories are not included in the type examination certificate.

Electrical connection and operation

Electrical connections and the selection of motor protection and control equipment must comply with the technical specifications of the selected model and the requirements applicable to equipment used in explosive atmospheres.

The speed of three-phase versions can be controlled by a frequency inverter. Motors are equipped with PTC thermistors for overheating protection.

Before installation, verify that the selected model's ATEX marking is suitable for the intended environment and follow the manufacturer's installation and operating documentation.
