Access panels for plasterboard, also known as access doors, provide convenient access to building services concealed behind walls and ceilings. They allow ventilation, plumbing, heating and other installations to be inspected and maintained without dismantling plasterboard structures.
Access panels are manufactured with aluminium frames and plasterboard infills or from ABS plastic. Depending on the selected range, they can be filled, painted or finished with ceramic tiles. Our range includes standard-size and custom-size access panels for walls, partitions and suspended ceilings. The construction, applications and dimensions of each range are described below.
FEROX® TOP LINE standard-size access panels are made from white ABS plastic and designed for installation in 12.5 mm plasterboard walls and suspended ceilings. The panels open and close with a push-to-open click-clack mechanism and feature the patented SHARK™ frame profile, a dust-reducing gasket and the GIRAFFA™ anti-fall safety system. The specially textured door surface can be painted without additional filling. The TOP LINE package includes a protective dust cover, four supports and installation accessories. Standard sizes range from 200x200 mm to 600x600 mm.
ALUMA plasterboard access panels feature an external frame and are suitable for various types of walls and ceilings. They can be filled, painted or finished with ceramic tiles. Tiles up to 1 cm thick can be applied to panels up to 300x600 mm when the door opens sideways, or up to 600x600 mm when it opens downwards. ALUMA panels of all sizes intended for filling and painting can be installed in walls either horizontally or vertically. Available sizes range from 200x200 mm to 600x1200 mm.
SUPRA STANDARD 12.5 standard-size access panels are designed for 12.5 mm plasterboard. They are suitable for filling and painting or for ceramic tile finishes. Tiles up to 1 cm thick can be applied to panels up to 600x600 mm when the door opens downwards. This installation arrangement requires separately ordered SUPRA-FIX plastic retaining clips.
SUPRA STANDARD 25 standard-size access panels are designed for 25 mm plasterboard. They are suitable for filling and painting and are intended for wall installation only. The doors can open only downwards. Special SUPRA-FIX plastic retaining clips must be ordered separately for installation.
SUPRA SPECIAL 12.5 custom-size access panels are designed for 12.5 mm plasterboard. They are suitable for filling and painting or for ceramic tile finishes. Tiles up to 1 cm thick can be applied to panels up to 600x600 mm when the door opens downwards. This installation arrangement requires separately ordered SUPRA-FIX plastic retaining clips. An exception applies to 150x150 mm and 150x200 mm panels, which do not require these clips.
SUPRA MEGA SIZE 12.5 large-format access panels are designed for 12.5 mm plasterboard and are suitable for filling and painting. The range includes sizes from 600x800 mm to 800x1200 mm. For wall installation, the maximum panel size is 600x1200 mm and special SUPRA-FIX plastic retaining clips must be ordered separately. For ceiling installation, dimensions up to 1200x1200 mm or 600x1400 mm are available.
AluEco Flex plasterboard access panels feature a rubber gasket and spring-loaded catches. The doors open and close by pressing them. When installed horizontally, pressing the upper part causes the door to swing towards the user. They are designed for indoor use and plasterboard partitions and are suitable for filling and painting. They can be installed in walls or ceilings and are secured with screws. Available sizes range from 200x200 mm to 600x600 mm.
AluStar Rondo round plasterboard access panels feature spring-loaded catches. They open and close by pressing the door and are intended for indoor installation in plasterboard partitions. The panels are suitable for filling and painting. They can be installed in walls or ceilings and are secured with screws. Available diameters are Ø300 mm, Ø400 mm and Ø600 mm.
Slot In versatile flush-finish access panels feature spring-loaded catches and open and close by pressing the door. They are designed for indoor use in plasterboard partitions and masonry walls. The panels are suitable for filling and painting. They can be installed in walls or ceilings and secured with screws or construction adhesive. Standard sizes range from 200x200 mm to 800x800 mm. Custom dimensions are also available on request.
KingSize extra-large plasterboard access panels are designed for indoor use and plasterboard partitions. Depending on the selected version, they open and close by pressing the door or are secured with a lock. The panels are suitable for filling and painting. They are installed in walls and secured with screws. Available sizes range from 1200x1200 mm to 1200x2000 mm. Custom dimensions can also be manufactured on request.
When selecting access panels, consider the plasterboard thickness, installation location, required opening size, door opening direction and intended surface finish. Not all ranges are suitable for the same installation conditions.
Before ordering access panels, check the technical specifications and installation opening dimensions of the selected model. The nominal panel size does not necessarily correspond to the required cut-out size.
